主要从事AUV 运动控制的研究工作,其主要研究成果解决在复杂的水下环境下,面对未知扰动、自身存在不确定性以及不可避免的故障时,为了保证欠驱动AUV 系统稳定性和运动性能,提出了一系列的控制方案。在理论上是对现有的欠驱动AUV 运动控制研究的有益补充和完善,丰富了欠驱动AUV 控制问题的研究内容。对欠驱动AUV 运动控制问题的理论和应用都具有重要的意义。从2008 年以来,共发表学术28 篇,(其中发表SCI/SSCI 期刊论文11 篇,EI 会议6 篇,CPCI 会议2 篇),专利1 项,主持省厅级项目3 项,参与国家级项目1 项.担任Ocean Engineering, Automatica, IEEE TSMCS, Neural Networks,Advanced Engineering Informatics,EAAI 等期刊审稿人。
