Effectiveness of Orem self-care theory in postoperative care for oral and maxillofacial tumor patients
口腔颌面部肿瘤术后患者的护理当中使用Orem自理理论的效果

摘要

目的 探讨对口腔颌面部肿瘤手术治疗患者加用Orem自理理论的使用价值。方法 随机选取我院收治的84例口腔颌面部肿瘤手术者，纳入时间为2024年1月-2024年12月，随机抽取42例作为使用Orem自理理论护理的观察组，另42例则为采用常规护理干预的对照组。通过生存质量量表（Activities of Daily Living, ADL）和Barthel指数评估不同护理方式对疗效的影响，并记录患者护理满意情况。结果 观察组生存质量指标和Barthel指数均较对照组显著提升，组间疗效差异对比有统计学意义（P<0.05）。观察组和对照组满意率为（97.62% vs 78.57%），差异有统计学意义（P<0.05）。结论 Orem自理理论用于口腔颌面部肿瘤手术患者护理中护理效果显著，明显提升了治疗效果，值得临床上进一步推广。

Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical value of applying Orem Self-Care Theory in postoperative care for oral and maxillofacial tumor patients.
Methods A total of 84 patients undergoing oral and maxillofacial tumor surgery at our hospital (January to December 2024) were randomly selected. Forty-two patients were assigned to the observation group receiving Orem Self-Care Theory nursing care, while the remaining 42 formed the control group receiving standard nursing interventions. The impact of different nursing approaches was evaluated using the Quality of Life in Cancer (QoL) Scale (Activities of Daily Living, ADL, EORTC-QLC) and Barthel Index, with patient satisfaction recorded.
Results The observation group demonstrated significantly improved quality of life and Barthel Index scores compared to the control group (P<0.05). Satisfaction rates were 97.62% vs 78.57% (P<0.05).
Conclusion   Orem Self-Care Theory shows remarkable efficacy in postoperative care for oral and maxillofacial tumor patients, significantly enhancing treatment outcomes. This approach warrants broader clinical implementation.
