The application of nurse-led continuing health education in the prevention of post-discharge complications and the development of self-management skills among surgical patients
护士主导的延续性健康宣教在外科手术患者出院后并发症预防与自我管理能力中的应用

摘要

目的 探讨护士主导的延续性健康宣教对外科手术患者出院后并发症预防及自我管理能力的应用效果。方法 选取2021年7月-2025年12月我院外科手术患者83例，按随机数字法分为对照组43例、观察组40例。对照组给予常规延续护理；观察组采用护士主导的延续性健康宣教，干预周期2个月。比较两组出院后并发症发生率、自我管理能力、生活质量。结果 观察组切口感染、深静脉血栓、肺部感染、泌尿系统感染总发生率显著低于对照组（P<0.05）；观察组自我管理能力和生活质量显著高于对照组（P<0.05）。结论 护士主导的延续性健康宣教能降低外科术后患者出院后并发症，提高其自我管理水平，改善其生活质量。

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effectiveness of nurse-led continuing health education in preventing post-discharge complications and enhancing self-management skills among surgical patients.
Methods A total of 83 surgical patients from My Hospital between July 2021 and December 2025 were selected and randomly assigned to a control group (n = 43) and an observation group (n = 40). The control group received standard post-discharge care, while the observation group received nurse-led continuous health education over a 2-month intervention period. The incidence of post-discharge complications, self-management ability, and quality of life were compared between the two groups.
Results The overall incidence of incisional infection, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary infection, and urinary tract infection was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group (P < 0.05); self-management ability and quality of life were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion   Nurse-led continuous health education can reduce post-discharge complications in postoperative surgical patients, enhance their self-management capabilities, and improve their quality of life.
