成长主题是儿童文学的核心母题，也是连接文学审美功能与教育价值功能的关键枢纽。本文系统梳理了2019年以来国际学界关于儿童文学成长主题与价值表达的研究成果，沿着“理论根基—形式分析—价值维度—认知机制”的逻辑脉络展开论述。在理论根基层面，成长小说（Bildungsroman）的形式特征与翻译问题得到深入探讨；在形式分析层面，叙事视角、自由间接话语、不可靠叙述等策略如何服务于成长主题的表达，成为研究热点；在价值维度层面，性别、种族、残障、去殖民化等议题全面介入成长主题研究，重构了传统成长叙事的价值框架；在认知机制层面，实证研究开始从叙事视角、角色认同和叙事沉浸等机制考察文学阅读与社会认知、道德推理之间的关系。研究发现，当代儿童文学成长主题研究正经历着从“文本中心”向“读者中心”、从“审美分析”向“价值介入”的双重范式转换，这一转换既拓展了儿童文学研究的论域边界，也为理解文学与人的发展之间的深层关联提供了新视角。
The theme of growth is a core motif in children's literature and a key link connecting the aesthetic and educational functions of literature. This paper systematically reviews international academic research on the theme of growth and value expression in children's literature since 2019, elaborating along the logical framework of "theoretical foundation—formal analysis—value dimension—cognitive mechanism." At the theoretical foundation level, the formal characteristics and translation issues of bildungsroman have been explored in depth; at the formal analysis level, how strategies such as narrative perspective, free indirect discourse, and unreliable narration serve the expression of the theme of growth has become a research hotspot; at the value dimension level, issues such as gender, race, disability, and decolonization have comprehensively intervened in the study of the theme of growth, reconstructing the value framework of traditional growth narratives; at the cognitive mechanism level, empirical research has begun to examine the relationship between literary reading and social cognition and moral reasoning from mechanisms such as narrative perspective, role identification, and narrative immersion. Research has found that contemporary studies on the theme of growth in children's literature are undergoing a dual paradigm shift: from a “text-centered” to a “reader-centered” approach, and from "aesthetic analysis" to "value intervention." This shift not only expands the boundaries of children's literature studies but also provides new perspectives for understanding the profound connection between literature and human development.
