The practice of Ge chanting in junior high school poetry teaching—A case study of Climbing the Flying Peak
葛调吟诵在初中诗词教学中的实践——以《登飞来峰》为例

摘要

吟诵是我国传统古诗文特有的读书法，它基于汉字声调，通过依字行腔和依义行调的基本规则，在实现“因声求义”“以声传情”目的的同时，充分体现古诗文的声情与辞情之美，是传承、传播中华优秀传统文化的方式。葛调融江南传统读书调与音韵学理论为一体，富有婉转优美与音情顿挫相兼美的声韵特点，兼具文人读书声与江南音韵特色的吟诵调式，也成为传统吟诵规范化、现代化传承的典型范式。本文以部编版初中语文《登飞来峰》为例，分析葛调吟诵在初中诗词教学中的实施路径，旨在探究传统吟诵在初中语文古诗词教学中的价值与意义。

Abstract

Chanting is a distinctive traditional reading method for ancient Chinese poetry. Based on the tonal features of Chinese characters, it follows the fundamental principles of shaping tunes according to characters and adjusting melodies according to textual meanings. It helps readers comprehend connotations via phonology and convey emotions through vocal cadence, displaying the aesthetic integration of sound and diction inherent in classical verse. Furthermore, it serves as a vital medium for inheriting and promoting China’s fine traditional culture. Integrating southern Jiangsu’s traditional scholarly recitation tunes with phonological theories, Ge-style chanting boasts melodious cadences interspersed with rhythmic pauses. Combining the scholarly reading style and Jiangnan phonetic characteristics, it provides a typical model for the standardized and modern inheritance of ancient chanting practices. Taking Climbing the Flying Peak from the Ministry-edited junior high Chinese textbook as an example, this paper explores practical approaches to applying Ge-style chanting to junior high poetry teaching and investigates the educational value of traditional chanting within classical poetry instruction.
