本论文聚焦《政府工作报告》中的四字格短语，分析其语言特色，探讨在时政文献翻译中四字格短语英译的有效策略，旨在提升时政文献翻译的质量与准确性，为相关翻译实践提供参考。通过案例分析，总结出直译、意译、增译、省译等多种翻译策略及其适用场景，以期助力时政文献翻译更好地实现跨文化传播与信息传达。
This paper focuses on the four-character phrases in the Government Work Report, analyzing their linguistic features and exploring effective English translation strategies within the context of political document translation. The study aims to enhance the quality and accuracy of translating political texts and to provide a reference for relevant translation practices. Through case studies, various translation strategies—such as literal translation, free translation, amplification, and omission—are summarized along with their applicable scenarios. Ultimately, this research seeks to facilitate cross-cultural communication and information dissemination in the translation of political documents.
