This article reports a case of a 76-year-old male patient who experienced recurrent delayed-type hypersensitivity reactions (DHRs) following multiple intravenous and arterial injections of iodine contrast agents. This case highlights the structure-dependent nature of DHRs, the potential risk of cross-sensitivity between different iodine contrast agents, and the importance of developing individualized treatment plans for high-risk patients. It underscores the significant clinical importance of strengthening early identification and standardized preventative management of delayed-type hypersensitivity reactions to iodine contrast agents.
