Research on the multidimensional impacts of short videos on adolescents and corresponding countermeasures
短视频对青少年群体的多维影响与应对策略研究

摘要

Abstract

Against the background of the "Internet +" era, short videos have been deeply integrated into adolescents' daily lives, and their dual impacts as well as governance issues have attracted widespread attention. Based on statistical data from CNNIC (China Internet Network Information Center) and relevant studies, this paper systematically analyzes the positive values and potential risks of short videos on adolescents from four dimensions: cognition, psychology, behavior, and values. The research finds that short videos not only broaden adolescents' knowledge horizons and meet their social and emotional needs but also lead to problems such as fragmented cognition, psychological anxiety, blind behavior, and deviations in values. The core impact mechanisms originate from the "information cocoon" caused by algorithmic recommendations, the "low-threshold + strong stimulation" design of content, and the special physical and psychological characteristics of adolescents. To this end, this paper constructs a "family-school-platform-government" four-in-one governance strategy, proposing specific measures including families strengthening guidance and companionship, schools promoting media literacy education, platforms fulfilling their main responsibilities, and the government improving the regulatory system. This study aims to provide theoretical references and practical paths for regulating the development of the short video industry, preventing growth risks for adolescents, and optimizing the growth environment of adolescents in the digital age.
