《英美国家社会与文化》是商务英语专业(本科)的专业拓展选修课程,内容广泛,但课时较少。针对本课程教学中存在的诸如内容庞杂、时间紧张、学生学习容易流于表面等问题,本研究以高校“课程思政”、“三全育人”等方针为指导,紧跟时事潮流,通过梳理、增删、整合教学内容,教学重点突出,思政鲜明;采用线上线下混合式教学模式,通过线上预习、线下讨论,小组汇报、单元小测等方式,解决课时少、学生学习应付等问题;采用形成性与终结性相结合的评估方式,对学生学习进行动态管理,形成行之有效的思政视角下的混合式课程教学模式。本课程改革构建了“知识-能力-价值”三位一体的课程思政育人范式,学生在掌握英美社会核心特征的同时,逐步形成“立足中国、对话世界”的批判性文化认知体系。本课程已形成较为完善的“课程思政体系”,可为同类院校推进此类课程思政改革提供实证方案。
Social and Culture of English-speaking Countries is an elective course for the Business English major (undergraduate level), covering a wide range of topics but with limited class hours. To address challenges such as the course’s complexity, time constraints, and students’ tendency toward superficial learning, this study adopts the principles of “curriculum-based ideological and political education” and “Three-Aspects Education” (whole-person, whole-process, and all-encompassing education) as guiding frameworks. Aligning with current trends, the research streamlines, adapts, and integrates teaching content to prioritize key themes and embed ideological-political elements effectively. A blended online-offline teaching model is implemented, combining pre-class online learning, in-class discussions, group presentations, and unit quizzes to mitigate issues arising from limited learning class and perfunctory student engagement. By adopting a dynamic formative and summative assessment system, the study establishes a practical blended teaching framework from the ideological-political perspective. The course reform constructs a “knowledge-ability-value” trinity paradigm for ideological-political education. While mastering core social characteristics of Englsih-speaking countries such as the UK and the USA, students progressively develop a critical cultural cognition rooted in China yet globally engaged. This refined “curriculum-based ideological-political system” offers empirical solutions for peer institutions to advance similar reforms, serving as a replicable model for integrating ideological-political education into specialized courses.
