本文聚焦新文科背景下基于OBE理念的《大学英语》课程核心素养培养研究。首先阐述新文科与OBE理念相关概念,然后以西安明德理工学院的大学英语教学为例,探讨民办院校《大学英语》课程所面临的痛点问题,基于痛点,对《大学英语》课程教学模式进行优化,设计实施具有创新性的教学方式,如将英语教学与学生的专业有机结合,课程内容围绕“英语+专业方向”展开。同时,为了激发学生英语学习兴趣,在课中引入AI助教、AI口语陪练,课后使用对分课堂“亮考帮”作业单等方式为外语课堂提质增效。通过课堂各种创新手段,旨在为西安明德理工学院的《大学英语》教学改革提供新思路,以适应新文科发展需求,提高大学生的英语实践能力,推动大学英语教学质量提升。
This paper focuses on the research into the cultivation of core competencies in College English courses based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) concept within the context of new liberal arts. Firstly, it elaborates on the relevant concepts of new liberal arts and the OBE concept. Then, taking College English teaching at Xi’an Mingde Institute of Technology as an example, it explores the pain points faced by College English courses. Subsequently, based on these pain points, it optimizes the teaching mode of College English courses and designs and implements innovative teaching methods, such as organically integrating English teaching with students’ majors and structuring course content around the theme of “English + Major”. Meanwhile, to stimulate students’ interests in English learning, AI teaching assistants and AI oral practice partners are introduced during class, and after-class, the “Assignment of “Thinking Highlights-Challenging you-Helping me” is utilized to enhance the quality and efficiency of foreign language classes. Through various innovative classroom approaches, this paper aims to provide new ideas for the reform of College English at Xi’an Mingde Institute of Technology, so as to adapt to the development needs of new liberal arts, improve college students’ English practical abilities, and promote the enhancement of College English teaching.
