短视频视域下培养大学生文化外宣能力的高校英语实践教学研究

摘要

中华优秀传统文化是中华民族的根基,也是中华民族自信的源泉。在全球化背景下,以短视频为主要媒介的文化交流与互动越来越频繁。本研究选取两个教学班的非英语专业大一本科生作为研究对象,通过访谈、问卷调查、课堂实践等方法,描述教师在英语实践教学中所设计并完成的较为可行的英语实践教学流程,分析学生对中国优秀传统文化及文化外宣精神内涵的了解程度,现有教材、考试和英语学习与文化外宣能力之间的关系以及教师从短视频制作角度出发锻炼大学生实践能力并培养其文化外宣能力所做的尝试、已取得的成绩和所面临的困难,总结出较为科学系统的实践教学方法,肯定教师在学生英语实践中的指导作用,强调学生在实践中提高文化外宣能力的主观能动性,旨在实现师生能够互相配合制作高质量的英语配音、汉英双语字幕文化外宣类短视频,以实践促教促学,增强学生的文化传播责任感,提升大学生的文化自信,提高大学生的文化外宣能力。

Abstract

Excellent traditional Chinese culture serves as the foundation of the Chinese nation and the source of its cultural confidence. Against the backdrop of globalization, cultural exchange and interaction via short videos as the primary medium have become increasingly frequent. This study selects two classes of non-English major freshmen as research subjects. Through methods such as interviews, questionnaire surveys, and classroom practice, it outlines a feasible English practical teaching process designed and implemented by instructors. The study analyzes students’ understanding of China’s excellent traditional culture and the essence of cultural promotion, examines the relationship between existing teaching materials, examinations, and English learning with the capacity for cultural promotion, and explores instructors’ attempts to enhance students’ practical skills and cultivate their cultural promotion abilities through short video production—along with the achievements made and challenges faced. The research summarizes a relatively scientific and systematic practical teaching methodology, affirming the guiding role of instructors in students’ English practice while emphasizing students’ subjective initiative in improving their cultural promotion capabilities through practice. The goal is to foster collaboration between instructors and students in producing high-quality short videos for cultural promotion, featuring English voiceovers and bilingual subtitles (Chinese-English), thereby promoting both teaching and learning through practice. This approach aims to strengthen students’ sense of responsibility in cultural communication, boost their cultural confidence, and enhance their capacity for cultural promotion.
