Research on common prosperity of farmers in typical rural areas of Changshu, Suzhou: A case study of Jiangxiang village
苏州常熟典型农村农民共同富裕调研——以蒋巷村为典例

摘要

从党的十九大开始实施乡村振兴战略，到党的二十大全面推进乡村振兴，党中央国务院高度重视社会主义新农村发展，全国各地新农村建设发展进入新阶段。本文基于苏州市常熟蒋巷村从一个“血吸虫流行、偏僻闭塞的苦地方”变成乡村振兴“江苏样板”的生动实践，重点分析了蒋巷带动村民实现物质与精神“双富”的主要方式，凝练了红色精神引领蒋巷从不发达走向发达的具体实践。正在建设新时代鱼米之乡的蒋巷村，希望为江苏乃至全国范围内新农村建设、转型升级提供经验借鉴。

Abstract

Since the implementation of the Rural Revitalization Strategy at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and its comprehensive advancement at the 20th CPC National Congress, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council have placed high priority on the development of a new socialist countryside. This has propelled rural construction and development across the nation into a new phase. This paper examines the transformative journey of Jiangxiang Village in Changshu, Suzhou—from its past as a "schistosomiasis-plagued, impoverished, and isolated area" to its current status as a "model of rural revitalization in Jiangsu." Focusing on Jiangxiang's successful practices, the study analyzes the key approaches through which the village has driven its residents toward dual prosperity, both materially and spiritually. It further distills the concrete measures by which the "Red Spirit" has guided Jiangxiang's transition from underdevelopment to prosperity. As Jiangxiang Village strives to build itself into a modern "land of fish and rice," its experience offers valuable insights for rural construction, transformation, and upgrading in Jiangsu and beyond.
