Practice nursing students' willingness to engage in nursing work for the aged under the background of medical nursing combination: A qualitative study
医养结合背景下实习护生从事老年护理工作意愿的质性研究

摘要

目的 在医养结合背景下，了解实习护生对从事老年护理的工作意愿，为推进老年照护服务人才队伍建设提供理论参考。方法 采用描述性质性研究，运用目的抽样法，选取昆明市某三甲医院2022年10月-2023年2月14名护理实习生为研究对象，进行半结构深入访谈，根据Colazzi现象学七步分析法对收集资料进行整理和分析。结果 经过反思、比较与类属归纳，实习护生对从事老年护理工作意愿可归纳为3个主题，10个亚主题：个体认知行为意图（对从事老年护理工作的态度、对老年人的印象、职业价值感、对死亡的态度）、环境因素（发展前景、薪资待遇、重要他人影响）、个体行为因素（自身实习经历、与老年人相处经历、个人应对能力）。结论 医养结合背景下，实习护生从事老年护理工作积极性不高，可从高校课程设置、提高薪资待遇、护生自身能力提高等方面入手，帮助护生树立正确的老年护理工作择业观，提高其从事老年护理工作的意愿。

Abstract

Objective In the context of healthcare integration, it is important to understand the willingness of trainee nursing students to work in geriatric care, and to provide theoretical references for advancing the construction of the geriatric care service workforce.
Methods A descriptive qualitative study was conducted using purposive sampling method, 14 nursing interns of a tertiary hospital in Kunming City from October 2022 to February 2023 were selected as the study subjects, semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted, and the collected data were collated and analysed according to Colazzi's seven-step phenomenological analysis method.
Results After reflecting, comparing and categorizing, the interns' willingness to work in geriatric nursing can be summarized into 3 themes and 10 sub-themes: individual cognitive-behavioral intentions (attitudes toward working in geriatric nursing, impressions of older adults, sense of professional value, and attitudes toward death), environmental factors (developmental prospects, salary, and influence of significant others), and individual behavioral factors (their own internship experience, experience of being around older adults, personal coping skills, and the ability to deal with older adults). experience, personal coping skills).
Conclusion   Under the background of medical and nursing integration, the enthusiasm of intern nursing students to engage in geriatric nursing work is not high, we can start from the curriculum of colleges and universities, improve the salary and treatment, and improve the ability of nursing students themselves, to help the nursing students to establish a correct view of the choice of geriatric nursing work, and to improve their willingness to engage in geriatric nursing work.
